Pizza! Really good pizza.

The Toro pizza above is a thing of beauty!  Fried eggplant, roasted garlic and ricotta.  If a pizza could talk, this one would say "I am love."  Don't be put off by the little burnt bits around the edges.  That is a badge of honor when you come out of a 650 degree oven.  The crust is crisp with a touch of cornmeal and the fried eggplant is unharmed by the high temperature.
My friend Heide had the white summer squash pizza which was lighter but still flavorful.  You can see the crust on this one is more evenly baked.  It must be tricky to get it just right in such a hot oven.  Kudos to our pizza man!
